Aero Specialties is Hiring a Production Planner Near Boise, ID

Description

AERO Specialties is a world leader in the manufacture and distribution of high-quality new, used, and refurbished aircraft ground support equipment (GSE). We opened our doors in 1987 as a small, local manufacturer, and have since grown to over 70 employees in Boise area as well as internationally who are dedicated to the company’s mission of providing the best GSE possible. The AERO Specialties Production Planner works with the Production Manager to ensure the proper execution of all production documentation and MRP system entries. This includes ensuring that bills of material are accurate, preparing and releasing work orders, ensuring that all materials are issued to the production orders in a timely fashion, and that the production orders are completed on time. This position is responsible for production-related communication flow inside and outside the company.

What are we looking for? Someone who can:

  • Supervise and drive the regular workflow and tasks of our production plans
  • Ensure accuracy of all production related documents and proper data input to the MRP system
  • Update production schedule daily to communicate when deliverables will be completed
  • Maintain estimated material lists and bills of material to ensure all materials are issued and production orders are closed in a timely fashion
  • Ensure accurate data entry in the MRP system and provide support to others when needed
  • Ensure production paperwork is created, processed, and compliant with internal and external requirements
  • Coordinate with other departments/customers to ensure there are no barriers to meeting deliverables
  • Complete reports as requested by the Production Manager
  • Maintain and improve processes and procedures for efficient operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What qualifies someone for this position?

  • Demonstrated experience in a production planning position/environment with related skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office with skills in Microsoft Word, MS Project and Excel.
  • Strong MRP system experience
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Extreme attention to detail and desire to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Self-motivation to help drive growth and change to support future organizational goals
