They do not have an interventional cath lab in house. Experience or 'Must have' skills: 1 year of ED experience. ED Physicians/Mid-Levels: 1 ED PhysicianCharge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge nurse, ideally does not take patients. House supervisor 24/7. Nurse Aids/Paramedics/Patient sitters: ED Techs, Paramedics (used in Triage)EMR: MeditechRT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Does RT do ABG's, breathing tx, EGS's?: RT to manage vents, BiPap, treatments. Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: 6 monitored beds, monitors at nurses station, nurses are responsible for reading and monitoring telemetry. X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport?: Xray in the ED, Separate department containing additional Xray services and CT is not in the ED department. They have transporters until 11pm, after that nurses and techs will be responsible for transporting patients. Phlebotomy or nurse draw: Nurse draw on initial IV start. Repeats will be done by phlebotomy. Shifts & Scheduling: 7-7 for AM and PM. and 3P to 3A. Schedule is made out 4 weeks at a time, overtime is available. Modified self-scheduling.
