Aequor is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to join our team in Paradise Valley, Arizona. As an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing specialized instruction and support to young children with developmental delays or disabilities in our inclusive early childhood programs.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, focusing on their unique strengths, abilities, and learning goals.
2. Provide direct instruction and support to students in various developmental areas, including cognitive, communication, social-emotional, and motor skills.
3. Collaborate with parents/guardians, other educators, and related service providers to ensure coordinated and holistic support for each child.
4. Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students in inclusive classroom settings.
5. Use ongoing assessment data to monitor student progress, adjust instruction, and modify individualized education plans as needed.
6. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes socialization, independence, and active engagement in learning.
7. Implement evidence-based practices and instructional techniques to support the development of early literacy, numeracy, and school readiness skills.
8. Provide support and guidance to classroom paraprofessionals and other support staff working with students with special needs.
9. Communicate effectively with families regarding their child's progress, goals, and strategies for support both in school and at home.
10. Stay current with best practices, research, and professional development opportunities in the field of early childhood special education.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education or a related field.
2. Valid Arizona teaching certification with an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education.
3. Previous experience working with young children with disabilities or developmental delays preferred.
4. Knowledge of early childhood development, developmental milestones, and evidence-based interventions for young children with special needs.
5. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of all students.
7. Commitment to ongoing professional growth and learning in the field of early childhood special education.
