AEHI, Inc. is looking for a Procurement Assistant to join our team! A Procurement Assistant is responsible for sourcing and providing quotations to customers by utilizing sales and technical knowledge for the preparation of quotation packages. The Procurement Assistant works directly with suppliers to ensure effective and efficient coordination of transactions between AEHI and its customers with a high level of service and support. The Procurement Assistant works directly with Management, Project Specialists, and Warehouse personnel to ensure product is accurately quoted in a timely manner, and correctly received into our system. The perfect candidate will be an energetic, highly motivated, take-charge type with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Procurement Assistant Job Duties:
· Provide quotations to customers by utilizing sales and technical knowledge for the preparation of quotation packages.
· Work closely with management and project specialists to understand details of procurement requirements.
· Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
· Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
· Manage bid pricing from all vendors and maintain and review computerized or manual records of items quoted.
· Negotiate, or renegotiate, terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
· Create quotes at agreed margins.
· Able to multi-task, meet strict deadlines, and ensure timely completion of quotations.
· Follow up and correspond with project specialists regarding bids sent and status of proposals.
· Review incoming product to ensure accuracy of goods delivered and services provided by our vendors meet our standards.
· Assure customer satisfaction
· Follow guidelines in accordance with AS9120 Quality Management System for preventive and corrective action

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
· Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
· Proficient with office software, primarily word processing (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
· Good time management skills
· Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
· Able to work alone or with a team in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
· Knowledge of ISO or AS9100 quality management system (preferred, but not required)
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
Hours:
Full Time Position 7 am - 4 pm
Experience:
Entry Level position. One year procurement experience preferred
Education:
2 year Degree (Preferred)
