Aegis Worldwide is Hiring a Quality Management Manager Near Macomb, MI

The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company's quality assurance processes to ensure the production of top-notch products. This includes establishing and maintaining quality control systems, developing and implementing quality policies and procedures, and leading a team of quality professionals. The Quality Manager will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control systems to monitor and evaluate the production process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Lead a team of quality professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective execution of quality control activities.
  • Establish and maintain quality policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency and traceability in all aspects of the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to address non-conformances.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain, to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Manage customer complaints and implement effective resolution processes to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in quality management to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the implementation of quality improvement projects, utilizing methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing to optimize processes and reduce defects.
  • Conduct training programs for employees on quality control procedures, ensuring awareness and adherence to established quality standards.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement, promoting employee engagement and participation in quality initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control systems, methodologies, and tools, including statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and corrective action.
  • Experience in leading quality improvement projects using methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of implementing and maintaining quality management systems compliant with industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of quality professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) are preferred.
