Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join a Food Manufacturer in the Chicagoland Area. The Quality Assurance Supervisor is an employee who is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Quality Assurance Specialists and COA Technician. Additionally, the Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the development, training, enforcement, and monitoring of programs that ensure food safety and food quality

Responsibilities

• Responsible to report any food safety and quality problems 
• Oversee daily activities of QA Specialists and COA Technician
• Handle day-to-day production issues/concerns/questions/requests
• Contact suppliers/brokers regarding issues regarding raw materials
• Perform final verification on all CCPs identified in HACCP
• Lead team in internal audits verifying that findings are recorded appropriately
• Coordinate with engineering review of equipment and policy related to projects and contractor activity.
• Assign departmental staffing and manage employee attendance.
• Coordinate other daily activities as necessary or required by the QA department
• Approve and submit purchase requests for QA supplies
• Report any food safety and quality issues to QA management so that proper steps can be taken immediately
• Cover for QA Specialists when necessary / Conduct tasks outlined in QA Tech-COA Coordinator and QA Specialist job descriptions

Qualifications

• 5 years of quality experience in a food/pharma environment
• 2 years in a supervisory role, having direct reports.
• HACCP Certified
• Experience leading internal audits
