Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate new injection molds from blueprints and engineering drawings, utilizing machining equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM machines.
- Perform mold modifications and repairs to address issues such as wear, damage, or dimensional inaccuracies.
- Disassemble molds, troubleshoot problems, and recommend solutions to optimize mold performance and extend tool life.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement design changes and improvements to molds.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on molds to ensure consistent quality and production efficiency.
- Document all mold fabrication, modification, and repair activities for future reference.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment in the mold shop.
- Proficiency in mold making techniques and mold repair processes.
- Strong knowledge of machining operations, including milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software for mold design and programming preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in mold making preferred.
