A prominent manufacturing company in the Metro Detroit area is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team. This is a direct hire position! 
As a CNC Machinist, you will play a pivotal role in our company's operations. Your primary responsibility will be programming CNC machines using WorkNC CAM software and ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision are maintained. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize WorkNC CAM software to program CNC machines for various cutting operations, milling, drilling, and tapping tasks.
• Develop procedures, work instructions, and standard CAM training plans for CNC machinists, ensuring consistent and efficient workflow.
• Perform setup and run CNC programs on assigned equipment according to the production schedule. Change cutting tools, adjust machine feeds and speeds as required.
•  Read blueprints and prepare upcoming jobs to reduce setup times, ensuring accurate and efficient machining processes.
• Conduct hands-on inspection of machined products using precision equipment and tools to maintain quality standards.
• Clean and maintain assigned CNC equipment and work area. Perform start-up checks and monitor key machine elements such as cooling and lubrication systems.
• Record detailed timekeeping information per job and tasks completed.
• Support preventive maintenance activities for CNC machines and equipment, ensuring their optimal functionality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the team and the organization.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a related field (Preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in machining and CNC programming (Required).
• Proficiency in CAM programming using WorkNC CAM software, ability to read blueprints, and hands-on experience with precision measurement tools.
