The Manager, SC Program - West will manage the Specimen Collector Team, including Specimen Collectors (SC), Field Service Coordinators (FSC), and Clinic Service Coordinators (CSC), in person and virtually to conduct on-site urine, blood, and/or oral fluid specimen collections for Aegis clients in the designated regions. The Manager, SC Program will be responsible and involved in all aspects of SC assignment including participating in hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and ensuring SC adherence to policies and procedures. A core responsibility of the position will be to effectively build and maintain collaborative relationships with other Aegis departments, including Sales, Client Relations, HR, SC Network Management, and others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned Specimen Collectors with support from Organizational Effectiveness, SC Network Management, and Sales Leadership teams
• Participate in position approval, interviewing, and candidate selection to align with Aegis needs 
• Partner with Sales Team to ensure successful onboarding and training of SCs; travel to client locations to train new SCs and provide retraining for current SCs as needed
• Compile and interpret metrics to provide insight into individual and team performance
• Perform periodic audits and resolve issues timely, partnering with various internal departments as needed
• Maintain and leverage up-to-date assignment details for large SC team, including schedules, locations, and basic client needs
• Ensure alignment with company policies, compliance protocols, and applicable state and federal laws
• Participate in cross-functional projects to support new business initiatives and priorities
• Adhere to confidentiality (HIPAA) requirements (patient files and personal information)
• Ensure missing information/quality control and error processing issues are addressed quickly and appropriately by working with SC Team and internal departments
• Work closely with Sales Team to identify and address any client concerns related to SC performance or behavior
• Manage resources, both human and material, to ensure efficient and effective deployment and utilization by partnering with the Sales Team, SC Network Management Team, and other internal stakeholders
• Provide coverage for SC Team as available and when absolutely necessary.
  • Follow SOPs for sample collection, ensure integrity of chain of custody and sample, ensure sample requisitions are complete, utilize Electronic Lab Requisitions (ELR) for sample submissions, and verify insurance information as needed
• Promote engagement and Aegis culture within the SC Team
• Comply with all applicable safety requirements including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Other duties as needed and assigned

Successful Candidates Must Possess:

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in management or leadership required
• Specimen Collection or healthcare experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required (must meet insurability requirements)
• Effective skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to interact and adapt with all levels of team members
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and prioritizing workload
• Ability to use good judgment and work independently
• Ability to handle multiple tasks without sacrificing quality
