As a full-time Project Controls Engineer, you will be part of a team of professionals, client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders working on a data center project near Boise, ID. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules and project control systems throughout the project lifecycle. General responsibilities include:
Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals
Conduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages for project site team
Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program
Review contractor's progress and present to management for decision-making
Communicate project status and challenges effectively
Review and evaluate contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and schedule
Participate in change order negotiations and evaluate contractor recovery schedules
Understand cost estimating and productivity principles to validate the project schedule
Requirements:
5 years of scheduling experience with at least two years on data centers
Strong understanding of cost engineering, scheduling, and delay analysis theories, principles, and practices
Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences
Familiarity with the Critical Path Method of scheduling both theoretically and as it applies in project management
Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling
Ability to accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts/general conditions) at all levels of design
Ability to read and interpret RFPs and RFIs
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
