Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Intern to be based in Houston, Texas.

This position is expected to begin in May 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.

  • Candidates must have completed 2 years of study in their program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in water/wastewater treatment engineering or related field (e.g. summer internships, Co-Op, etc.).

  • Experience with Excel, AutoCAD, GIS and PowerPoint.

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

  • Your position will be hybrid with your primary work location at Houston, TX location. It is expected that you will report to your primary work location in accordance with the current AECOM remote work policy. AECOM’s global Remote and Hybrid Work Policy is designed to clearly define expectations for working from an AECOM office or client site as well as when remote work is appropriate, ensuring both employees and AECOM will benefit from the arrangement. All employees should work with their managers to identify a schedule that allows for team building, collaboration, and optimum client service, while taking into account our Freedom to Grow philosophy.

  • The offered rate of compensation (Texas locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $18.58 - $25.55/hr .
