Job Description

AECOM is seeking a qualified and motivated Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer/Project Manager to support our Hampton Roads Water Business Line, based in Virginia Beach, VA. The qualified applicant will have experience in water/wastewater engineering and construction management principles, and will be familiar with the design, construction and operation of municipal water and/or wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure.

The position includes project planning and design, construction services oversight, schedule/budget management and client interface, all in an interesting and rewarding consulting engineering work environment. The successful candidate will be expected to communicate effectively with project team members, have a high level of initiative and motivation to deliver quality results, have strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to work with clients to provide value-added solutions and maintain strong client relationships.

Water

With more than 3,200 Water professionals in all major markets throughout the United States and Canada, AECOM’s Water business line leverages nearly a century of local, national and international project experience to provide today’s municipalities, industries and governments with cost-effective solutions to their Water challenges. We deliver our services—from environmental planning studies to detailed design, construction management, and operations and maintenance—to a wide range of public and private sector clients. Our public sector work encompasses everything from small rural communities, to large urban centers, to agencies with regional responsibilities. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university

  • Six (6) years’ of relevant experience with three (3) years of demonstrated project management experience

  • Professional Engineer License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

  • Professional Engineer in Virginia or ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months of hire

  • Project Management Professional or training in project management

  • Experience in coordination with regulatory agencies

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in teams

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $120,000 - 140,000.
