Join us. **Job Description** AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated **Senior Bridge Project Design Engineer** for employment in the Orange, CA. office. This career enhancing position will involve performing transportation structure design analysis, including plan preparation of structures in Los Angeles, Southern and greater California as well as exposure to and contributing to project work throughout the Western U.S. This important role offers participation in a variety of challenging projects such as the and a dynamic work environment due to the number, type and size of bridges that make up the vast portfolio of the experienced bridge group this engineer will be joining. Lead Structural Engineer on projects, including reviewing designs and plans. Providing specialized technical input on transportation-related projects. Managing bridge projects, including design tasks and coordination of work with engineering staff. Conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of new bridges utilizing prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel, and timber components. Inspection, assessment, and rehabilitation design of existing bridges. Load evaluation of existing bridges. Proficient in the use of computer software for the analysis and design of complex structures. Experience in preparation of technical specifications and design documents, report writing, technical engineering support, and limited inspection during construction. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements :** Bachelor's degree 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. **Preferred Qualifications:** Minimum of 10 years' experience in bridge design. Master's degree in structural engineering. Knowledgeable of AASHTO/Caltrans standard engineering practices, techniques, and applicable Codes. Project management skills. Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing. Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools and software). Knowledgeable of other standard engineering practices, techniques, and applicable Codes, such as IBC/CBC, AREMA, MRDC, etc. Knowledge of current structural modeling software tools. A current PE license in the State of CA. **Additional Information** All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
