Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Resident Engineer to serve the Hudson Valley Region who can lead our project team and ensure the quality and timely delivery of our services.

As a Resident Engineer, you will:

  • Manage and supervise the field inspection team, and enforce the company and project policies

  • Work in Ulster and Dutchess Counties but be flexible to travel to other counties in the lower and mid-Hudson valley region as needed. Be willing to work nights and/or weekends if required.

  • Communicate and coordinate with the client and other stakeholders on project issues and solutions

  • Oversee and verify that the project is constructed according to the design, budget and schedule

  • Coordinate and review the procurement, shop drawing, testing and acceptance processes

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of project progress, changes, estimates and payments in accordance with the MURK standards, using Site Manager and EBO.

  • Monitor and evaluate the contractor's performance, personnel, equipment, materials and supplies

  • Provide Construction Management, Construction Quality Control Oversight and Quality Assurance Oversight staff on Design-Build contracts if requested.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of NYSDOT specifications, standards and procedures

  • Licensed Professional Engineer or NICET IV certification is preferred

  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Experience with APPIA and Site Manager is preferred.

  • Experience with NYSDOT, NYSTA, NYS Parks, or Local County Projects is preferred

  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $116,000 - $180,000.
