Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Registered Architect to be based in New York, NY. Will operate as a registered architect, working directly with the NYC SCA on projects related to schools throughout New York City and the surrounding boroughs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform basic architectural/engineering calculations.

  • Prepare specifications, reports and related data tables.

  • Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.

  • Prepare, review, and approve drawings as required.

  • Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.

  • Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.

  • Assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.

  • Review and approve conceptual designs.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Baccalaureate degree in architecture or directly related field.

  • Valid license as a Registered Architect and current registration must be maintained for the duration of employment.

  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $76,000 - $120,000.
