Job Description
AECOM holds vast experience serving federal, state, and local clients throughout the entire disaster lifecycle. With an increase in demand for services in this sector, we are seeking an accomplished leader to champion bringing opportunities and solutions forward across our East Region, in particular the Southeastern United States. The ideal candidate will have a well-established reputation in serving clients in designing and managing federally supported, state-managed, and locally executed programs. This role will report to regional senior leadership and coordinate with national and global disaster professionals in AECOM, to ensure we are always bringing agile, consistent, compliant, and complete solutions to our clients.
The primary responsibility of the Regional Market Sector Lead will be to support and grow our disaster services offerings at the state and local levels, and provide leadership and guidance to our growing team. In this role, the selected candidate will work with the East Water Executive Team, collaborate with our Caribbean operations and national and global disaster professionals in pursuit of new opportunities, and be responsible for the overall vision and growth strategy in the related P&Ls.
Key job functions would include, but not be limited to the following:
Play a major role in the pursuit of the top opportunities and achievement of the sales goals in East Water P&Ls
Drives business development activities that include strategy and opportunity development, positioning, teaming, and capture and proposal management, with particular focus in the Southeastern United States
Assists in the development of proposals and gives presentations to potential clients.
Develops, maintains, and executes customer engagement plans to establish relationships, understand customer requirements, and enable solution development. Actively interfaces with customers and ensures the company is positioned with customers on new and recompete opportunities.
Explores, researches, and recommends teaming agreements, joint ventures, and other contractual relationships.
Stays current with disaster services and AECOM's offerings, capabilities, and successes and identifies/develops opportunities to apply such capabilities to customer requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Business Management, Emergency Management, Engineering (e.g. Civil, Environmental or Mechanical), Resiliency or Political Science, or related degree
10 years of relevant disaster experience, including 5 years in management
Proven experience as a Project Manager or Deputy on multi-million-dollar disaster- or resiliency-related programs or projects
Demonstrated working knowledge of FEMA/HUD disaster policies and guidelines
Due to the nature of this work, US citizenship is required
This position will require deployment/travel during disasters – generally in the Southeastern United States, but could be broader
Demonstrated working knowledge of Federal and state regulations that govern the deployment of disaster response and recovery programs
Post-disaster program management, case management or construction experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Project, Program, Construction Manager, or Professional Engineer
Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Demonstrated experience with business development
Demonstrated experience with client relations and management

Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (FL locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $122,820-220,000
