Job Description

AECOM is seeking a mechanical Intern to be based in Grand Rapids, MI

This position is expected to begin in May 20, 2024

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.

• Tasks include but are not limited to: computer-aided drafting using AutoCAD or Revit, performing calculations and field observation of existing conditions.

• Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of science alternatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or masters in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field.

• Must have completed 3 years of study.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Assist in the production of all phases of the design process, calculations, generation of design documents and renderings, construction administration, and close out.

• Knowledge or ability to quickly learn AutoCAD and Revit.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs, Adobe and Bluebeam.

• Well organized and possesses an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset.

Additional Information

• Offered rate of compensation) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $20 - $22/hr.​
