Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Civil / Site Engineering Group Leader for immediate employment in our Franklin, TN office.
This role is an integral part of the Franklin office, managing projects, staff, and providing technical and strategic leadership for the business line and local practice.
In addition to technical responsibilities, this role will:
Plans, directs and supervises all operations included in a large, complex project or several moderately sized projects with greater risk and complexity, and significant financial impact
Provide direction to and mentoring to other technical staff in completing project tasks
Performs independent technical reviews of engineering reports and design
Acts as primary point of contact with client and has full responsibility for project delivery
Competent to serve as Engineer-of-Record on design and design-build projects
May be responsible for Project teams that include 10 or more members often representing multiple business lines, working in remote locations and including subcontractor(s)
Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering project, focusing on the unique or controversial problems
Regularly develop and evaluate project plans
Provide advice and consultation to client on engineering matters, including compliance with government laws and regulations
Work with clients to provide long-term solutions
Project leadership in the areas of design, analysis, and construction on civil and site design projects
Develop project proposals and work with business leader on overall strategy to grow civil engineering practice
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS in Civil Engineering or closely related field with 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid US Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS;
15 years of relevant industry experience
Progressive experience in site design
