**Job Description**

**AECOM** has an immediate need for a junior Civil Engineer to join our Water Group in our Atlanta, GA office. The Atlanta office has been expanding to serve Georgia and supports offices on projects throughout the Southeast US. This position will afford the opportunity to work with some of the most talented individuals in the industry, on a variety of water and wastewater design projects including collection and distribution pipelines, pumping stations and water/wastewater treatment facilities. **This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:**

Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.

Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.

Identifies discrepancies in results.

Provides guidance to entry level engineers.

Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements**

_BA/BS 2 years of relates experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education_

**Preferred Requirements**

Course work or experience with focus on water and wastewater design, including open channel flow, stormwater and pumping systems calculations, site grading, profiling, and integration of all site services.

Detail design of sedimentation and erosion control plans.

Detail design of above ground and buried piping services and the preparation of construction drawings and specifications.

Masters Degree

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $61,063.44 - $112,967.37.
