Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Architectural Designer based in Houston, Texas.
Job Summary/Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
- Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
- Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
- Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
- Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
- May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
- May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two (2) years of experience using Revit, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch Up
- Strong visual communication skills
- Experience with Enscape
- Experience working on all phases of architectural projects
- Candidate is actively pursuing licensure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
