Job Description
AECOM Water , a leading organization in the field, is currently seeking an exceptional candidate to join their team as a Mechanical Engineer in Oakland, California. This exciting opportunity calls for an experienced individual who will play a crucial role in water transmission projects, focusing on the design and implementation of large valves, pipelines, and penstocks. The ideal candidate will possess seismic region experience, which will prove advantageous in this role. With key assignments on iconic infrastructure systems and large water conveyance projects, this position offers a unique chance to contribute to significant and impactful initiatives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  • Proposes an approach to solving new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
  • Identifies discrepancies in results.
  • Guides entry-level engineers.
  • Performs work by agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
  • Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
  • Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years of relevant industry experience

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90,000.00 - $146,151.53.
