Job Description
AECOM is seeing a Deputy Construction Manager to be based in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Support the Construction Department Lead and collaborate with the local leadership team.
  • Strong understanding of project finances, forecasts, project controls
  • Preference for experience in aviation programs/projects.
  • Manage projects on a local to regional basis achieving quality and safety outcomes, financial performance and client satisfaction.
  • Develop strategy, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and execute projects.
  • Serve as a liaison between client personnel and other stakeholders regarding project opportunities and project activities, including planning, scheduling and overall project status.
  • Support the execution of strategies, major proposals, and interviews.
  • Develop and capture growth strategies and increase market share for key accounts.
  • Provide direction and oversight to AECOM staff and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with the construction contractor activity to develop an efficient and cost-effective plan to implement the work, within the scheduled timeline and budget.
  • Promote an environment that promotes project safety protocols.
  • Mentor, develop, and train junior staff.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
  • BA/BS 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred requirements:
  • Professional Engineering License
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
  • At least 8 years of experience working on construction projects in construction management, 4 years of which in a leadership role.
  • OSHA 30-hour safety course certification preferred, or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence and project success.
  • Demonstrated experience of winning work.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $115,000.00 - $165,000.00.
