About Construction Management - AECOM TishmanSince 1898, AECOM Tishman has managed the construction of some of the world's most iconic buildings. We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. We provide expert consultation and guidance in all phases of a building project, from master-planning, preconstruction options evaluation and decision-making, to design review, estimating, and scheduling, through procurement, construction and occupancy. AECOM Tishman's staff manages all consultants and contractors on a project, representing client interests throughout the project cycle. Job DescriptionAECOM/Tishman has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Project Analyst for our state-of-the-art construction project in Manhattan.
Job Summary:Maintain and manage the change/cost control log and work with Project Managers on maintaining and managing subcontractor change proposals.
Interact and work with the client in managing the change orders being processed and accurately log and track status of the change proposals.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Skilled in the use of company systems and able to represent cost data formats necessary to control the project.
- Understands financial terminology and measures and recognizes the financial impact of various project actions.
- May assist in leading junior staff through assignment tasks.
- Participates in tracking action items.
- Knowledgeable of accounting principles with extensive understanding of the manner in which the company establishes and documents the financial position.
- May participate in reviewing and approving contractor invoices.
- Evaluates manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations including preparation of variance analysis.
- Possesses the knowledge of scope control and change management. Involved in the tracking system to ensure that project management is fully aware of detailed change order status.
- Prepares and assists in various levels of project reporting.
- Participates in and may lead project cost review meetings.
- Assists in procedure development and implementation.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree 2 years of experience performing project cost control activities supporting construction projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Requirements: - Demonstrated project controls cost analysis experience supporting:
- Good understanding of overall project cost concepts and cost accounting principles.
- Change management adaptability.
- Demonstrated independent working capability (or with minimum guidance)
- Knowledge of cost control tools, PM Web or similar financial software tools
- Sound understanding of project controls tools and process.
- Ability to liaison with Client.
- Project controls reporting (weekly, monthly) - internal & external.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, advanced Excel and Outlook.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $68,787.00 - $120,377.00.
