aec national recruiters is Hiring a Construction Estimator Near Bloomfield, CT

Representing a leader in the industry, our client is looking for an experienced construction estimator (any discipline) to join their team. Their area of expertise is decorative exterior trim & millwork details for both new construction and historic replication, i.e., column surrounds, railing/balustrade systems, pergolas, etc.

The Project Estimator is responsible for estimating the cost of construction projects. This includes gathering information about the project, such as the scope of work, the materials and labor required, and the time frame for completion. The Project Estimator then uses this information to create a detailed estimate that is accurate and complete.

The Project Estimator must have a strong understanding of construction estimating principles and practices. They must also be able to use estimating software to create accurate and detailed estimates. In addition, the Project Estimator must be able to communicate effectively with clients and other members of the project team.

Responsibilities of the Project Estimator include:

  • Gathering information about the project, such as the scope of work, the materials and labor required, and the time frame for completion
  • Using estimating software to create a detailed estimate that is accurate and complete
  • Communicating with clients and other members of the project team about the estimate
  • Updating the estimate as needed throughout the project

Qualifications for the Project Estimator position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field
  • 4-8 years of experience in construction estimating
  • Strong understanding of construction estimating principles and practices
  • Proficiency in estimating software
    • STACK estimating software
    • CRM tools
    • Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate & work as a team with sales
  • Coordinate all aspects of bids
    • Material take-offs
    • Value engineering
    • Etc.
You will be asked to submit a projects list with a bid:win ratio.
Strong comp & benefits package; salary commensurate with experience
