Advocates is seeking an active and creative Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to support a bright and active young man with a developmental disability. He and his family are looking for a Mentor to assist him with working on his goals both at home and in his community. He is interested in fishing, swimming, farming, crafts, sports, and anything outdoors.
Goals include:

• Engaging in meaningful activities- fishing, crafts, sports, cooking classes, etc.
• Engaging in structured activities- creating lists, grocery shopping, meal prepping, etc.

Seeking someone who is reliable, enthusiastic, creative, and active. Related experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required. Please respond with resume or summary of experience.

Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation. Internet access and a valid email address are required.
Hours and days of work

Tuesday through Friday (10 AM - 2 PM)

Full-time opportunities may be available.

Pay rate: $18.50 per hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $15 per hour.

Location: Westvale, NY
