Advocate RCM is Hiring a Human Resource Specialist Near Dublin, OH

Description

The Human Resource Specialist will support and assist with the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department. This role will participate in a variety of areas and tasks gaining broad exposure to HR but not limited to benefits, clerical, leave of absence, company communications, employee relations, and enforcing company policies and practices. The HR Specialist will be a team player, help keep the wheels turning, and be the pinch hitter for the HR team. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Acts as a liaison between the Human Resources Department and internal and external customers, including answering the telephone, screening calls, and providing basic information and status updates.
  • Assist and research best HR practices throughout the organization.
  • Assist with other projects and tasks within the HR department, and perform other duties assigned.
  • Assisting, covering, and training other areas within HR, as needed.
  • Maintain good communication and positive relationships with employees to promote employee satisfaction and ensure a positive working environment.
  • Conduct audits on internal and external records, files, etc to ensure accuracy.
  • Provides administrative support to the HR team.
  • File, organize, create and maintain HR files.
  • Runs business-related errands as needed.
  • Assist with recruiting such as conducting phone screens, scheduling, and other areas of the hiring process, as needed.
  • Act as a company notary.
  • Assist with marketing and branding tasks, as needed.
  • Complete Employment Verification and Unemployment request.
  • Create and move employee files, as needed.
  • Assist with company events such as Employee Appreciation Day, lunches, and holiday celebrations.
  • Process and file new hire and termination paperwork.
  • Prepare and conduct new hire communication.
  • Organize and schedule new hire technology and HR orientation.
  • Assist with new hire setup, desk management, building access request, gifts, and related task.
  • Prepare, file, and process status change forms and other payroll-related documents.
  • Maintains up-to-date Job descriptions for all departments.
  • Act as the backup for the receptionist, as needed.
  • Act as the backup HR counterpart, as needed.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, audits, forms, guides, and other HR-related documentation and training, as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in HR, business, or related field preferred. 
  • At least two years of administration, HR experience, or related experience is preferred.

Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role. This would require the ability to move files and mail on occasion, lift to 20 lbs, walk short distances, bend, stand and other light physical activity, as necessary.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
