Advocate Aurora is Hiring a VP IT Applications Revenue Cycle Near Milwaukee, WI

The Vice President of IT Applications for Revenue Cycle will play a critical role in driving the strategic direction, implementation, and optimization of information technology systems and applications to ensure the efficient operation of revenue cycle applications, streamline processes, and enhance revenue cycle performance. Serve as the senior-most IT leader in Revenue Cycle for the Advocate Health enterprise.

Major Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for revenue cycle IT applications aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the implementation, integration, and maintenance of revenue cycle systems.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders to identify opportunities for technology-enabled process improvements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with revenue cycle leadership, finance, clinical operations, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders to provide updates, solicit feedback, and address concerns related to IT applications in the revenue cycle.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals responsible for revenue cycle applications.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the IT applications team.
  • Provide guidance and support for professional development and skill enhancement of team members.

System Implementation and Optimization:

  • Oversee the implementation and deployment of revenue cycle systems, ensuring alignment with business requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize revenue cycle processes, enhance system performance, and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted operation of revenue cycle applications.

Vendor Management and Collaboration:

  • Serve as primary contact for major strategic vendors.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and software providers, ensuring effective collaboration and service delivery.
  • Evaluate vendor products and services, negotiate contracts, and make recommendations for system enhancements or replacements as needed.

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant healthcare regulations.
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive patient and financial data within revenue cycle applications.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:

None required

Education Required:

Bachelor’s Degree, Master Preferred or Equivalent Experience

Experience Required:

  • Requires 10 years of management experience in information systems, including strategically directing, designing, and implementing information systems operations within a large, complex, multi-site organization. Includes five years of management experience in a senior management position. Must have some experience focused on revenue cycle applications in a healthcare setting
  • A proven track record of leading a significant technology platform transformation in a healthcare system.
  • High business acumen and compelling executive presence will translate into an active, engaging contribution to the health system's strategy.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex IT projects and initiatives, preferably within a large healthcare system.
  • In-depth knowledge of revenue cycle processes, healthcare billing systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, manage budgets, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
