RWE Data Scientist

2 Schedules Available: Standard 40 hours per week and Part-Time 20 hours per week

Summary:

This role is accountable for delivering data science-driven support for the oncology franchise and will work in the RWE team of Evidence Generation Platform, and partner with cross functions to generate real-world evidence (RWE) and real-world insights to drive strategic priorities of oncology assets.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support for the development of concept proposals, protocols, and statistical analysis plans
• Conduct various analytic tasks including data query, feasibility assessment, internal insight generation, and formal RWE studies
• Collaborate with the study team to establish effective timelines for the completion of milestones and delivery of studies
• Help identify fit-for-purpose RWD to address research questions
• Provide support for data dissemination including data visualization, presentations, and publications

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in epidemiology or statistics with a minimum of 4 years of relevant RWD/RWE experience in the pharma industry or consulting business
• Well-grounded in the fundamentals of epidemiology, data analytics, statistics, and programming
• Experience in pharma
• Experience in oncology
• Experience with RWD
• Proven experience using real-world data sources including EHR, claims, registry, and patient-reported outcomes
• Working knowledge of relational databases, including SQL, and large-scale distributed systems such as Hadoop and or working in Snowflake
• Ability to implement data science principles and applications in a general programming language such as SAS, R, Python, or SQL.
• Well-versed with and have experience applying various statistical methodologies including time-to-event analysis, multivariate analysis, propensity score or IPTW, etc.
• Experience with innovative study design or advanced analytical approaches preferred, eg, external control arm, hybrid trial design, quantitative bias analysis, machine learning, etc
• Ability to handle multiple assignments with varying deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced matrix environment

Rate/Location:

• $29-$34/hr
• This is a fully remote position with preference to candidates local to Collegeville, PA
