Advocate Aurora Health is Hiring a Project Manager (IT) Near Chicago, IL

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

1. NTAM Trade Surveillance - This is a required market manipulation detection system on SaaS with data feeds from NTAM, including workflow and case management system.

2. IdentityChek Replacement - Replacement of IdentityChek for AML's CIP process. IdentityChek is EOL with vendor, and a new solution must replace it for continued AML capability in CIP.

3. FinTrac - Convert existing Canadian Regulatory reporting to future/new Canadian requirements.

CONTRACTOR'S ROLE: Project Manager (Quantity: 2)

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Level 3 (Sr)

EDUCATION/EXPERINCE:

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering, or related degree

• Required 4 years of managing technical projects

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS (Must Haves):

• Strong analytical, communication and technical skills.

• Candidate must have strong project management skills, and should understand various project methodologies, processes and standards. Has expertise in managing all phases of technology infrastructure projects from concept through implementation and maintenance to closure.

• Responsible for structuring a project, performing the detailed planning, and managing project execution and completion of moderate to large projects using a prescribed methodology.

• Experience with Agile/SDLC and Waterfall/IPLC Methodology

• Defines the phase deliverables, tracks milestones and incurred expenses versus planned expenses, schedules roles and resources, evaluates risks and recommends contingency plans.

• Assigns resources and tasks, and manages quality assurance, resolution of issues, status reviews and reporting, development of standards, change control, customer support, and compliance with all policies and procedures.

• Candidate will be responsible for project documentation, project schedule, meeting agendas, minutes, status reporting, etc.

• Candidate should be familiar with technology infrastructure (Servers/Storage/Network) as well as MS Office, MS Project and SharePoint

• Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced, demanding cross-functional environment working with business users, project team members, IT development personnel and vendors.

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills.

• Proven ability to handle complexity (technical and organizational).

• Strong understanding of systems. Able to understand technical terms and system design considerations.

• Curious, goal oriented and highly self-motivated with a passion for driving transformative change.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills; comfortable presenting to all levels of business and technical audiences.

• Experience with both Waterfall and Agile frameworks.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading, planning, managing and directing a project team to accomplish the objectives of a project with limited, local objectives

• Conduct a kick-off meeting with all key stakeholders in order to announce the start of the project and review the overall project plan and gain consensus.

• Implement the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events in order to minimize the impact of the risks on the project.

• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

• Track, publish and follow up on action items and issues.

• Proactively remove roadblocks and escalate, as appropriate, to management.

• Monitor spending against budget milestones and take corrective action, as needed.

• Manage pre-project activities (including resource acquisition and SOWs) and drive all stages through project completion

• Assigns resources and tasks, and manages quality assurance, resolution of issues, status reviews and reporting, development of standards, change control, customer support, and compliance with all policies and procedures. Able to facilitate workshops such as JAD and DRP sessions.

• Responsible for managing/ recording detailed requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables, using requirement-gathering techniques (e.g., planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups) and the project charter.

• Manage third party vendor relationships; ensuring status reports are provided on a weekly basis and PM 1:1 sessions are conducted weekly to ensure issues are escalated as needed and tasks are being completed per project schedule.

• Schedule and lead team meetings, standups and working sessions as needed

• Work with the IT Manager and developers to determine work estimates and resource requirements to create a detailed project plan.

• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation according to Northern Trust’s PMO standards.

• Manage sprint planning (for Agile projects), where applicable.

• Collaborate with Infrastructure /Application Teams to determine best methods to meet project objectives

• Promote a strong working partnership between business and IT members of the team and ensure excellent communications between team members, stakeholders and management, at all levels.

• Produce status reports and maintain project metrics.

• Control scope and manage the change control process.

Ability to coordinate/manage System Test and User Acceptance Test phases and track progress accordingly.
