Job Description:

• Our client, a leading telecommunications company, is seeking a dedicated Offshore Release Manager to join their IT Service Activation Team within the SDP (Service Delivery Platform). The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in development, with a deep understanding of release management and agile methodologies. This role requires expertise in both on-premises and cloud-based CI/CD environments, alongside a comprehensive understanding of SAFe Agile principles, Release Trains, and PI (Program Increment) planning. A valuable candidate would also have a Telco background, bringing unique insights to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Release Planning: Lead and coordinate IT release activities in a hybrid on-premises and cloud CI/CD environment. Collaborate closely with development teams to plan and execute releases efficiently.
• Agile Expertise: Apply SAFe Agile principles, ensuring alignment with Release Trains and PI planning. Drive continuous improvement, fostering an Agile mindset within the team.
• Technical Proficiency: Leverage prior development experience to engage effectively with the development team. Understand technical challenges, provide insights, and propose solutions to enhance the release process.
• Strategic Thinking: Anticipate challenges and proactively plan for future releases. Develop strategies to optimize the release management process, ensuring seamless integration within the SDP.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, both locally and globally, to gather requirements, communicate release plans, and address concerns. Build strong relationships to foster collaboration and teamwork.
• Telco Expertise (Bonus): Utilize Telco industry knowledge to enhance the team's understanding of specific challenges and requirements within the telecommunications sector.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Release Manager or similar role, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
• Strong development background, with proficiency in software development methodologies and tools.
• Expertise in on-premises and cloud-based CI/CD environments.
• In-depth knowledge of SAFe Agile principles, Release Trains, and PI planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to think ahead and plan for future releases.
• Willingness to relocate to the client's location in St. Louis or work remotely from India, based on the client's preference"
