Advocate Aurora Health is Hiring a Business Operations Specialist 2 Near Ogden, UT

A Business Support Specialist is needed to support the Hill Air Force Base (HAFB) Little Mountain Test Facility (LMTF). This position will report directly to the site Test Program Manager, and provide support to multiple LMTF functions, with tasks and responsibilities to include: supporting future equipment purchase programs, material procurements, lab operations, contract and business correspondence as well as supporting the LMTF test project management team. The Business Support Specialist will meet regularly with the lab managers, other Project Managers, Site Manager, and Air Force customer to support strategy on existing and new projects. This position may also provide support for the escort of subcontractors, in-processing test customers, and providing other support as required. This position will gain valuable experience in all site operations by working with diverse team members across all disciplines and develop many critical skills necessary for growth and development in the defense space.

The LMTF is a Government owned facility located approximately 15 miles west of Ogden, UT. The facility is incredibly unique, however there are very limited amenities. Our standard work week is 4-10 hour shifts, however flexibility is required for this position in order to support operations.

  • Ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
  • Provide reports, project status and change information to project team per established processes and communicates plan changes and recovery plans to others
  • Support the development and update of task specific plans, deliverables, and schedules
  • Provide support to the Program by supporting meetings, assist with schedule and cost baseline control and forecast updates, tracking subcontractor and material purchase orders, participate in status reporting and milestone reviews
  • Ability to support, lead, and delegate team’s responsibilities and tasks through all stages of the project life cycle
  • Support site with escorting of visitors, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Other tasks of a clerical/logistical/administrative nature as required by the site leadership
  • Assist business operations through proposal development, data analysis, report generation, and correspondence development
  • Assist program management team in analyzing and preparing cost, schedule, and administrative data
