The below job description outlines the responsibilities for the Certified Financial Planner.
This CFP will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with company leads from seminars and referrals, as well as existing clients. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who enjoys building relationships and knows how to follow through with sales opportunities while providing superior client service; always putting clients first. Initial duties include working alongside the main Advisor, servicing existing clients, making active outbound calls to set appointments with prospects and existing clients, client relationship building.
Minimum Requirements:
College degree preferred
5-10 years of financial service experience required
CFP or ChFC; Life and Health Licensed; Series 65
Strong organizational, prioritization, interpersonal, and management skills
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Experience with CRM required
Strong Client Service skills, mentality, and attitude
This position also requires that you possess the following skills:
Personable attitude and willingness to build relationships with existing clients
Ability to explain complicated financial concepts in an easily understandable way
Familiarity with interpreting financial data (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, taxes) preferred
Very organized and strong attention to detail
Task and deadline driven
Desire to learn a wide array of subject matter a must
Team players willing to take initiative to help when needed
Self-starter who does not need to be micromanaged/ability to work independently
Problem-solving/troubleshooting ability will be necessary
Ability to prioritize and seek assistance in determining task priority
Willingness to take initiative and proactive follow up with clients
Ability and willingness to adapt to changing environment
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Learning about the business model from senior advisor
Building financial plans suited to the client’s needs
Meeting with clients on a regular basis via phone, in person, and email
Building rapport and cultivating existing relationships with clients
Extensively communicating with clients regularly concerning ongoing projects
Client Retention
Management of the Client Experience
Prospecting of current clients for Referrals and additional business
Salary and Benefits
$75-100K salary first year plus commissions
