Advics is Hiring a Continuous Improvement Specialist Near Lebanon, OH

Summary
Support company efficiency improvement projects intended to optimize production performance including but not limited to operational improvement processes, waste reductions, and problem-solving methods. Focus will be on continuous improvement processes using identified metrics that support safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction initiatives.
Team members in this role will analyze current processes as well as research and analyze technical data to identify process inefficiencies and determine potential solutions and/or improvement opportunity areas. Team members will also report on improvement suggestions and assist with implementation and training on approved improvement solutions.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties
1. Implement process improvements to reduce cost, increase efficiency and improve working conditions at all sites.
2. Analyze how process changes will affect overall production and the ADVICS products.
3. Perform compliance auditing for 5S, standardized work, process point maintenance, and ownership maintenance.
4. Prepare detailed audit follow-up documentation with suggested improvements information.
5. Supporting manufacturing shop floor improvements at all sites
6. Teach ADSNA 3 pillar fundamental classes.
7. Assist in prioritizing improvement plans to meet company goals. This activity includes long-term forecasting/impact with all stakeholders.
8. Perform actual line-side time study analysis.
Other Responsibilities and Duties
- Create standards for lead and supervisor.
- Initiates purchase orders for supplies and equipment.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This job requires specific vision: color vision for troubleshooting; the peripheral vision for working in and around moving machinery and parts; close vision for reading blueprints; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred; Prefer manufacturing experience
Minimum Qualifications: 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, partners, or employees.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to solve complex problems, scenarios, or situations, navigation a variety of concrete or fluid variables in situations where concrete or limited standardization exist.
- Ability to review data, identifying gaps and trends.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:- Must be able to function in a team environment by working with and cooperating with others.
- Must possess knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint programs.
- Travel to ADVICS manufacturing sites or customer sites required 10%
Special Skills: (Preferred)
Toyota Production System background preferred or Six Sigma certification.
