Education and Work Experience:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Experience processing/cleaning equipment: Preferred

Essential Functions:

• Maintains responsibility for the overall cleaning, packaging, storage and distribution of respiratory equipment, supplies, and replenishing oxygen cylinders in the Respiratory Therapy Department and other areas of the hospital as needed. Performs inspection, testing, repair and maintenance of specialized cardiopulmonary services equipment, including but not limited to ventilators, compressors and other related equipment.
• Monitors stock levels, places orders, records receipt of all cardiopulmonary equipment. Prepares inventory updates.
• Maintains documentation required by federal and state agencies regarding the inspection, calibration, repair and maintenance of each ventilator.
• Contacts vendors regarding equipment, parts and components used in the repair, maintenance and calibration of specialized cardiopulmonary products.
• Performs safety tests on respiratory equipment and documents appropriately. Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Utilizes computer system in performing position duties. Keeps the respiratory therapy areas clean and organized.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
