Education and Work Experience:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Massage therapy practice experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Certified Massage Therapist or Practitioner: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
• Massage Therapist (MTC): Required

Essential Functions:

• Provides massage therapy care to patients, employees and physicians.
• Adheres to and follows treatment precautions identified by physical therapists, nurses and physicians. Observes for changes in patient responses and reports changes to appropriate nurses and physical therapists.
• Provides daily and timely patient chart documentation of interventions and services provided in the acute care setting. Documents employee and out-patient treatments, as necessary.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
