We're looking for someone to join our team as a System Director, Clinical Engineering who:

  • Provides effective leadership and oversight to the Clinical Engineering system for the organization. Provides system leadership and direction for all aspects of clinical engineering services including strategic plan development of Clinical Engineering and Biomed services and retained service contract strategies. Directs and oversees the system operations of the department and it's workforce (whether it's outsourced or insourced) to ensure that Market/Network partnerships/relationships and KPI targets are met. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel utilizing both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgement.

    Essential Functions:

    • Coordinates, plans and directs evaluative systems to monitor effectiveness of services. Directs the system assessment of new technology, investigation of incidents, and active participation in training and education of technical and medical personnel.
    • Creates and directs a comprehensive, up-to-date, automated equipment inventory system. Ensures department is current and compliant with all Joint Commission and other credentialing agencies and standards. Leads and directs a high performing and cost effective program. Directs all areas related to procedures and specifications. Ensures workforce productivity targets are met.
    • Directs a team of biomedical equipment technicians responsible for direct support, service and repair of medical equipment across multiple locations. Evaluates in-house capabilities and opportunities for reducing ongoing service contract costs.
    • Maintains responsibility for financial management, service contract management, information systems for managing the medical equipment, and assuring medical equipment is safe and effective.
    • Exercises independent judgment in recruiting, training, coaching, supervising and directing assigned staff.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
    The estimated base pay for this position is $153,251-$191,564. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through years of experience, differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions. You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Master's Degree: Preferred

Work Experience:

  • Seven years technical experience: Preferred
  • Five years leadership experience: Preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Clinical Engineering (CCE) certification: Preferred
