For many of our patients, being able to recover from a surgery or illness at home with friends and family is an important part of the healing process. That is why Adventist Health Home Care Services offers a skilled, in-home health care team committed to the safety, comfort and independence of our patients. The Home Care team works closely with physicians to provide exceptional care that is personalized for each patient; nurses are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for scheduled or on-call visitations.
We're looking for someone to join our team as a Speech Pathologist (Home Health) who:
Provides speech therapy services to patients with speech, language or swallowing disorders.

Essential Functions:
  • Assesses and documents speech therapy data related to patient assessments, patient care needs, interventions and outcomes.
  • Identifies changes and trends throughout physical and emotional parameters.
  • Reviews treatment plans and assesses individual performances to modify, change or write new programs.
  • Maintains documentation as required by law, establishment policy and administrative regulation.
  • Instructs patients on ways to monitor speech and practice new skills.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:


Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology: Required
  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology: Preferred


Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
  • American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred
  • Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required
  • Valid Driver's License (DL): Required

The estimated base pay for this position is $38.28 to $51.97. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through years of experience, differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
