The role you’ll contribute:
The Imaging Services Director oversees the entire Radiology department's operational activities as well as team development and growth of an effective and safe team with excellent patient care at two facilities. The Director is responsible for annual budgets, productivity, staffing, as well as the purchasing and implementation of new technology. The Director is responsible for planning the department's future growth with new exams and procedures. Some of the Imaging Director's duties but not limited to will consist of all related staffing concerns, addressing Physician requirements and requests, throughput of workflow, schedules, vacation requests, employee requests and vacation requests, equipment maintenance and quarterly/annual preventative maintenance, TJC, and CMS requirements, as well as coordination with local professional schools for educational requirements of future workforce, and proper staffing to accommodate exam volumes for effective productivity of the Imaging department
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Responsible for daily operations oversight of CT, MR, Ultrasound, Nursing, Nuclear Medicine, Mobile PET/CT, Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Imaging Nursing Services, and Patient Transportation
- Maintains a working knowledge of the departmental charge master; ensures accuracy of charge master and association with imaging procedures to appropriately charge for services.
- Promotes a culture of excellence by establishing expectations and maintaining consistency through accountability.
- Provides excellent customer service while maintaining cost effective operations management.
- Uses human resources management skills to oversee a diverse population of managers, supervisors, and team leads for respective modalities; including hiring/terminations. Coordinates with HR for approval to post positions using the appropriate software.
- Works collaboratively with the Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) & Radiation Safety Officer regarding the radiation safety needs of the Hospital and actively participates in inspections, responsible for renewals of tube licenses, responsible for overseeing practices to meet the policies set by the RSC.
- Actively participates in Patient Experience/Performance Improvement projects for clinical areas.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelors and 2 years experience
- 5 years Leadership Experience

- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiology Technology (either hospital based or college degree program) upon hire
- Bachelor's degree in Radiology, business, or related field upon hire
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging upon hire
- Minimum of two years' experience as a Manager or Director of a Diagnostic Imaging Department upon hire
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
- Current State of Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist License upon hire
- Current ARRT (R) or NMTCB Certification or ARDMS Certification upon hire
