The role you’ll contribute:
The Charge Nurse is a skilled practitioner in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for
an assigned group of patients. Provides care to patient populations with complex health issues and serves
as a clinical resource to nursing staff. Analyzes and anticipates less predictable outcomes of nursing
interventions. Primary responsibilities include clinical practice, management, and education. Determines
appropriate nursing interventions for identified patient problems, symptoms, behavioral
changes and teaching needs. Addresses issues in the standards of care.

- Assist supervisor with Policy and Procedure review and enforcement.
- Assists by cultivating and maintaining a positive working relationship with all physicians, patients, internal customers, physician's offices, other departments and the community.
- Assists supervisor with implementing and communicating HR policies and procedures.
- Assists supervisor with monitoring of documentation for compliance for any/all regulatory rules or guidelines for JCAHO, DHEC, OSHA, HIPAA and other organizational policies and procedures.
- Assists with Performance Improvement projects and makes suggestions where opportunity for improvement is identified.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Previous Charge Nurse experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years Cardiac Cath Lab or Cath Lab Recovery experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of critical care experience.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- State of Florida License in Registered Nurse
