The role you’ll contribute:

The Program Manager of GME/UME Strategic Operations supports the Vice President and Chief Academic Officer with development and execution of Florida-wide GME/UME strategies. The program manager will coordinate and collaborate with the associate Chief Academic Officers throughout the state to ensure integration. The Program Manager provides leadership for facilitation of strategic plan development, elements of strategic plan implementation and deployment of projects; operations and communication across the state for GME/UME; and serves as chief aide in detailed execution. Collaborates with the VP and other GME/UME leadership on the integration of organizational performance excellence principles. Oversees assigned strategic and operational plans across the state as related to the GME/UME functions. Prepares materials and presentations for the Vice President and to further the advancement to key stakeholders. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

  • Facilitates strategic plan development through research, analysis, and presentation creation
  • Assists in development of agenda, and content for key GME/UME meetings by collaborating with stakeholders from all three Florida divisions’ Leadership to synthesize and prioritize the key objectives of the meetings and plans.
  • Contributes research and data analytics as the GME/UME leadership team reviews and provides input on strategies and innovations – leads projects under the direction of the GME executive leaders.
  • Tracks all commitments and project task work that are made during executive leadership meetings or project meetings and provides progress reports and updates to the VP and Chief Academic Officers.
  • Drives to completion written briefs including analyzing the pros and cons of options and business impact (cost, profits, people, culture).
  • Serves as a conduit of information and communication to the UME/GME team when timely dissemination is required from leadership.
  • Develops and organizes capital equipment purchases in collaboration with the GME Finance leadership team
  • Assists in budgetary initiatives across the continuum, by driving meetings and feedback from key stakeholders
  • Leads project teams that develop strategies and business plans for new or emerging initiatives under the leadership of GME/UME Leadership Team.
  • Assists the GME/UME Leadership to execute the annual planning process resulting in the creation of the annual Business Plan, Strategic Imperatives, Annual Budgets, accreditation requirements.
  • Serves as the project leader in preparation of major management meetings including leadership team meetings, Faculty Search Committees, Performance Platform, Annual Program Reviews, GME Retreat and other major strategy/communications events.
  • Works with multiple operational areas/teams as a performance improvement advocate as well as drives specific initiatives across the organization as needed by the Institute.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare or related field of study with three (3) years of experience in a health care setting with analytical and strategic competencies

OR

  • Seven (7) years of experience in a health care setting with analytical and strategic competencies
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience
