The role you’ll contribute:

Supervises the technical and administrative functions of the Environmental Services department. Acts as a technical resource for team members. Implements goals consistent with assigned classroom and laboratory space. Provides effective utilization of personnel, policies and procedures, in order to ensure a clean, safe, and attractive environment. Performs cleaning in the absence of staff or while there are vacancies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Supervises employees in daily operations and evaluates performance.

• Inspects assigned areas regularly to ensure high quality of cleaning and maintenance is being performed.

• Maintains staffing levels, approves and schedules paid time off and leave requests.

• Ensures cross coverage of areas in the absence of an employee or during emergencies. May need to cover shifts in the event of staffing gaps including vacancies.

• Coordinates and provides orientation, education and training to new and current housekeeping employees.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Three years of experience as a work leader, team lead or project manager, or one year of supervisor experience in a related field

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• GED or High School Diploma
