Full-time APP Opportunity in Urgent Care at AdventHealth in Adairsville

• 12-hour Shifts Weekdays (8am - 8pm)
• Weekend Shifts Required

Requirements

• Advanced Practice Provider – Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Licensed in Georgia
• Eligible to be state licensed in the U.S.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides health care and treatment to patients under the auspices of the supervising physician.
• Assures timely and accurate entries of medical histories, progress notes, and treatment recommendations in the patients’ medical records.
• Assures all patient management documentation, including pharmaceutical modalities, is outlined in the patient’s medical record and signed by the supervising physician.
• Practices within the scope of each practice, and their supervising physician, as delineated by education and training including, but not limited to: prescriptive privileges and in accordance with supervising physician guidelines.
• Refers patients for laboratory, radiology and other specialty care as needed for services that cannot be provided at the practice.
• Assures that adequate patient health records are maintained and confidentiality is maintained under HIPAA regulations.
• Participates with supervising physician in a periodic review of the patients’ health records and treatment plans.
• Appropriately charges for services rendered according to Federal, State, and third-party payors laws, rules and regulations. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Must have knowledge of local, state and federal regulations regarding the delivery and billing of healthcare services. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Three years experience, in setting similar in scope and practice to position currently employed preferred.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

• Current GA license.
• Current BLS
