Qualifications
Design power conversion systems typically from 1W to 10kW. The power supply circuit designs are either custom specific or commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) systems, involving MIL-STD interfaces and ANSI / VITA standards.
Development of analog and digital controls and monitoring circuits, programming of digital I/O (FPGA, microcontroller, DSP).
Create printed circuit layouts for power supply designs.
Participate in concept-to-production development, test and documentation.
Perform design and test verification of formal electrical and mechanical environmental requirements, and EMI/EMC compliance requirements.
4-6 years experience and/or equivalent experience and/or Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering.
Applied experience in electronics design with focus on analog/ digital power supply design.
Knowledge of power conversion techniques and analog circuits, and EMI measurement and mitigation techniques.
Competence in circuit simulation tools, electronic design software and printed circuit layout.
Knowledge of military specifications and standards.
Laboratory acumen including knowledge of test equipment, hand tools, and prototype construction techniques including TH/SMT soldering.
