Product Owner

Role Summary

Our client is looking for a Product Owner to join their growing team. As a Product Owner, you can plan, manage, and own the work of projects from start to finish. Success in this role means being an independent self-starter who is comfortable creating and executing a strategy to meet the needs of each unique team and client.

Key Results Area

  • Creates strategies and presents ideas to stakeholders

  • Lead scrum teams and scrum ceremonies, write user stories, refine the product backlog, and coordinate delivery team activities

  • Work with external stakeholders to understand and fulfill business requirements and end-user needs

  • Act as the voice of the customer for the product delivery team

  • Develop user stories defining acceptance criteria and determining priority to maintain a healthy product backlog

  • Lead workshops and other activities aimed at defining the problem to be solved, generating hypotheses, promoting ideation, and managing tradeoffs

  • Maintain the product roadmap of significant milestones to align the development team as well as external stakeholders

  • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to the members of the product delivery team

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience, including experience shipping consumer-facing features or products

  • Skilled at breaking down problems, building consensus, and setting direction in the face of uncertainty

  • Demonstrated experience with Agile software delivery, including Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid framework implementations

  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Prior experience working for a digital agency or consultancy is strongly preferred

  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills
