Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant who is willing crosstrain as a receptionist for our busy pediatric office. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and in answering and scheduling patients. This is a temporary to permanent position in a office setting.

Responsibilities:

- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures

- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse

- Administer medications as instructed by healthcare providers

- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis and blood glucose monitoring

- Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and medical history

- Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment

- Working at the front desk covering administrative task, including: schedule patient appointments, answer patient phone call, check insurnace eligibility

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

- Ability to provide compassionate patient care with empathy and respect

- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers

- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and record keeping

- Greet and welcome visitors in a courteous and professional manner

-Answer and direct incoming calls promptly and efficiently

Qualifications:

- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification

- Previous experience working in a pediatric setting is preferred but not required

- Proficient computer skills for electronic medical record keeping

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 36 per week
