This position is for Essai Test Solutions, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Advantest America, Inc. located in Fremont, CA, Chandler, AZ and Phoenix, AZ.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • People manager with a team of 10 Quality Assurance and Quality Control Engineers and Technicians. Provides coaching and support to enhance employee performance
  • Responsible for developing Quality programs including processes & procedures to enable a defect free product for customers
  • End-to-end ownership of quality strategy including: Incoming Material, Machining, Assembly, and Final Quality Assurance steps
  • Proven leader that demonstrates influence and strong partner orientation to enable closed loop process improvements
  • Collaborate with Operations leadership team to drive quality assurance systems into manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Active collaboration with initial Engineering Product Development team to ensure quality standards from design inception to final product shipment
  • Continual assessment of existing quality systems, processes, and product performance and creation of continuous improvement projects
  • Owns the quality systems for defect identification and correction and ensures corrective actions are in place to meet defect targets

Minimum Qualification Requirement:

• BS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering or equivalent technical field
• Minimum 8 years' experience in quality Assembly and manufacturing
• Experienced people manager
• Proven track record of creating a quality culture and strategy
• Excellent Communication, interpersonal, and cross-collaboration skills
• Thrives in a dynamic team environment
• Work independently and proactively

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• ISO9001 Quality Management Knowledge (AS9100 is a plus)
• Understanding CNC machining is a plus
• Familiar with electronics, semiconductor manufacturing or similar fields
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• 3D solid modeling knowledge is a plus
• Needs to understand GD&T and dimensional tolerancing to read and understand Mechanical Drawings
• Needs to understand and perform statistical analysis, Gage R&R and MCA
