Job Title: Air Export Operation Staff
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90045 - onsite
Work hour: M-F 9:00 am- 6:00 pm (some flexibility to work in weekend required)
FLSA: Non-Exempt, direct-hire, full-time
OVERVIEW
A global logistics company near Los Angeles International Airport is seeking an Air Export Operation Staff. Reporting to the manager, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day export operations, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of freight and information, including warehouse inventory counting. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of logistics-related experience, with air export experience being advantageous.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
Receiving cargo orders from customers and booking space with airlines.
Coordinating shipping schedules and ensuring adherence to cut-off times for cargo tendering to airlines.
Preparing and reviewing forms and documents to comply with regulations, such as TSA and IATA.
Conducting inventory counts at the attached warehouse facility.
Processing invoices with a focus on accuracy for payment.
Providing customer support by addressing inquiries via telephone, fax, or email.
Entering shipment data into the company system, applying freight rates and charges.
Providing tracking and cargo information to customers and generating reports to track milestones.
Offering support to fellow associates, supervisors, and department managers as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least one year of experience in the logistics industry is required.
Experience with air exports is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Spanish or Japanese is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
