That’s exactly what I get to do as a Site Safety Professional with APG.” Ken J.If this sounds like you, read on!Requirements:3 - 5 years construction safety management experience. Degree in safety management and/or BCSP designations preferred. Ideal candidate would have experience with construction and chemical manufacturing/petro chemical. Ability to lead and influence others both upstream and downstream.Ability to interpret and communicate client policies and core values to others. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Positive professional attitude, and strong customer service skills. Activities/ Responsibilities/ Duties:Perform as an advocate for client by promoting company culture, policies and procedures and promoting a positive attitude towards the advancement of Company Principles, Mission, and Vision. Represents client in a professional manner with both internal and external customers.Address various process hazards when decommissioning manufacturing equipment.Implement and manage project construction safety programs.Identify training needs, participate in safety orientations and training programs. Tracking and analysis of all safety, injury and hazard statistics and trend analysisConduct work area safety audits, inspections. Conduct, assist and lead major incident analysis. Monitor and review subcontractor activities for safety concerns. Champion safety achievement and performance improvement throughout the project.Ensure adherence to the site-specific safety plan, including emergency action, response, evacuation, and security plans.Verify all project personnel have the requisite safety training and PPE pertinent to their scope of work.Ensure adequate safety management coverage on the assigned projects at all times.Constantly solve problems and resolve issues through face to face and personal communication with all stakeholders.Education/ Experience:Associate degree in construction safety management.5 years of construction safety management experience.Experience in investigating, documenting, and developing corrective actions for accidents and incidents.External/Internal proven safety auditing experience and knowledge of OSHA standards.Certificates / Licenses:BCSP or other equivalent Safety Certifications preferred.CHST certification or equivalent.OSHA 510.First Aid/CPR/AED.NFPA 70E.Duration: Planned start date: ASAPPlanned end date: 12/31/24.Compensation and Benefits:Pay Rate: $50-$60/hour depending upon previous experience and qualifications. A typical work week is 40 hours per week. Overtime is not expected.
