Advantage MetalWork has an immediate need for an experienced Powder Coater.

Summary:
This position performs a wide variety of painting and coating processes on steel or aluminum product with protective prime and top-coat paints using industrial paint equipment

Essential Functions:

• Prepares and applies coating materials, such as primers and top-coats, per manufacturer requirements
• Apply painting principles and practices; locate, identify, and correct defects such as poor adhesion, rough coatings, or “fisheye”
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and standard procedures to meet customer requirements
• Assess finished product after painting to ensure top-quality
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Willing to work overtime as needed including extended days and/or weekends

Qualifications:
*

• At least one (1) year of powder coating experience required
• Must be self-motivated, reliable, and punctual
• Strong attention to detail
• Goal-oriented with a willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to effectively communicate issues and ideas to appropriate staff

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs regularly
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Hours: Monday-Friday, 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Hourly; Non-Exempt

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
