Pharmacy Technician

Starting Pay Rate: $19 - $22 per hour depending on experience

Pharmacy Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Job Type: Full-time, in person, no nights

Pharmacy Technician Role

Advantage HealthCare Services is looking for a California Licensed Pharmacy Technician to assist in a fast pace pharmacy setting as a full-time. We are seeking technicians with at least one year of experience. Your primary task will be to process insurances. We are willing to train the right candidate. Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese is heavily desirable.

We are looking for motivated and dedicated technicians who have a passion for customer service and quality patient care. Due to the unique requirements of our patient population, we require our technicians to be detail-oriented, compassionate, and willing to go the extra mile.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid California Pharmacy Technician license
• Must have at least some insurance processing experience
• Must have at least one year of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Previous experience filling medications in a fast paced environment
• Heavily detailed oriented
• Possess strong communication skills verbally and in writing
• Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize to manage daily workflow
• Ability to take initiative and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively work together with team members
• Execute tasks efficiently as directed
• Willingness to learn new tasks and grow within the company

Basic responsibilities will include:

• Input new prescriptions
• Process refills
• Process insurance claims
• Daily communication with healthcare providers and their staff
• Assist team members when needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
• Answer telephones and provide solutions with excellent customer service
• Return medications to stock, and assist in putting away ordered medications
• NDC selections and pharmacy calculations
• Fill (Bubble pack/vials) and label medications
• Assist the front staff with patients and customers, as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualities (not required):

• Experience with bubble/blister packing medications
• Familiarity with DigitalRx pharmacy systems
• Bilingual in Spanish/English

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
